Inquiry
1916  Electric Steel Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was established.
 Production of alloy and tool steels started.
1921  Steel division of Daido Electric Power Co., Ltd. separated to form
 Daido Steel Co., Ltd. 
1937   Hoshizaki plant began operation.
1941  R & D division was established.
1963  Chita plant began operation.
1965  The first U.S. office was opened. 
1976  Merged with Japan Special Steel and Tokushu Seiko.
1988  The American Society for Metals designated the 1.5 ton Herout type
 electric arc furnace(1916), our company treasure, an ASM Historical
 Landmark. (Exhibited in Chita Plant)
1992  Large section, vertical continuous caster began operation at Chita 
 Plant for the first time in Japan.
1993  Beijing Information center was opened.
1995  Hong Kong office was opened.
1997  Bangkok office was opened.
2001  Steckel mill was introduced into Hoshizaki Plant. Production of 
 high-grade strip steel started with the integrated manufacturing
 process.
 An efficient steel melting process was developed by introducing 
 two 700-ton molten steel storage vessels. We call this process as 
 "AN (Anticipate the Next) process".
 
2002  The steel casting divisions of Daido Steel Co., Ltd. , Daido Special
 Castings Co., Ltd. , and Daido Precision Parts Co., Ltd. were united to
 form a world class integrated maker of steel castings, 
 "Daido Castings Co., Ltd.", established in April 2002. 
 The accumulated quantify of blooming at Chita Plant since its
 startup reached 50 million tons.
2004  Shanghai office was opened.
2005  Guangzhou office was opened.
