Daido Steel

Daido Steel has acquired “ISO/TS16949:2009” certification, an international standard for quality management system for automotive industry.

Daido Steel Co., Ltd. ("Daido", President and CEO: Takeshi Ishiguro) has acquired “ISO/TS16949:2009” (“TS”) certification for rolled round wires and bars at Hoshizaki Plant (Minami-ku, Nagoya-shi, Aichi, Japan), which produces stainless steel and others for automotive parts.

The TS is an international standard for a quality management system, based on the ISO 9001:2008, with additional requirements specific to automotive industry. It incorporates the requirements of European and American automotive-related standards, QS9000 (U.S.), VDA6.1 (Germany), EAQF (France), and AVSQ (Italy), and is used by automotive manufacturers, particularly in European countries and the U.S. Above all, the TS places great emphasis on customer satisfaction and customer specific requirements. Suppliers are required to have the quality management system that meets them in order to obtain the TS certification.

We at Daido have established a quality management system to which the process approach required by the TS has been applied, aiming to improve customer satisfaction with steel for automotive parts. In future, we will continue to increase customer satisfaction by undertaking quality improvement activities, including strengthening our quality management system. Backed by the TS certification, we aim to further expand sales of steel for automotive parts that we excel in producing.
